Real people

Every member who sells, rents, bids, or sends a message has verified who they are, once, with our identity partner Didit.

• How it works: in Settings → Identity Verification you take a photo of a government ID (a driver's license, passport, or national ID) and a short selfie. Didit checks that the ID is real and not expired, and that your face matches the photo on it and belongs to a live person, not a picture or a mask.
• One person, one account: Geerho keeps a one-way, keyed hash of your ID number, so the same ID can't open a second account, and someone banned can't come back under a new name.
• What we keep: the result and date, plus your legal name, date of birth, issuing country, the address printed on your ID (if any), and that hash. Your ID photos and face data stay with Didit, only as long as the check and the law require, and never more than 3 years. Neither Geerho nor Didit sells them.
• What others see: a Verified badge next to your name, never your ID or legal details.
• It's free, and the first 300 members to verify become Founding Members.

Honest prices

Every post shows its real price up front: items their price, rentals their rate, homes their rent or asking price, services their rate, and jobs their budget. "PM for price" isn't allowed, and sellers can't add hidden fees after you agree.

• Our fees are shown before you list: joining, browsing, and messaging are free; Geerho keeps 5% of an item's price when it sells through in-app payment (Founding Members and plan members pay none), and the payment company's actual fee comes out of the seller's payout.
• Your money is held safely: when you pay in the app, Geerho holds the payment until you have the item.
• Report a post that hides its price with "Hidden fees or price not shown". Moderators remove it, and repeat offenders lose their account.

Your privacy

• Your phone number and email are never shown to other members. You talk in Geerho's chat.
• Listings show an approximate area, never your exact address. A home's address is shown only to people whose tour you confirm.
• Photos and videos you send are re-encoded, which removes their location.
• We don't sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
• Lock your account with a passkey and two-step verification in Settings → Security.

Reputation

Before you deal with someone, you can see who they are and how they treat people.

• Stars (1 to 5): the average of reviews from people they actually bought from, sold to, rented with, hired, or worked for.
• Blind reviews: nobody sees the other's review until both are in, or 14 days pass, so reviews stay honest. Each person can post one public reply.
• Milestone levels (1 to 50): how much business someone has done on Geerho over time.
• Badges: Verified (ID-checked), Licensed (a moderator checked their professional license), and Founding Member (one of the first 300). A gold ★ marks the Super Admins who run Geerho and a silver ★ our beta testers.
